September 2019 has begun and we have a big blockbuster release, Saaho, carrying forward from last month, alongwith a couple of new releases already happening in the first week of this month. In Bollywood, small banner Chhichhore happened this month and, in Hollywood, IT: Chapter 2 released as the sequel to 2017's superhit horror film IT. Most of them having been making the big back at the Indian box office. Saaho box office collection
Saaho continued its rampage at the Indian box office across all four languages. On Day 10 of release, Saaho has managed to make about Rs 266.75 crores (net) at the Indian box office. The majority of these earnings are from South Indian languages as Hindi earnings stand at about Rs 100 crores within a few days of release.
Chhichhore box office collection
Chhichhore is a small banner release in India and stars the likes of Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, and Varun Sharma. While the movie made about Rs 7.32 crores on its opening day, second day at Rs 12.25 crores was better because of word of mouth. The movie is expected to gross about Rs 35 crores in its opening weekend, making it a hit.
IT: Chapter 2 box office collection
The sequel to IT, IT: Chapter 2 hasn't been able to make much of a dent mostly due to the above-mentioned movies running successfully. However, in terms of global box office, IT: Chapter 2 has raked in about $91 million worldwide making it the biggest opening for a horror movie in 2019. The story picks up 27 years after the events of the first film and centers on the grown-up versions of the seven members of the Losers Club.
Mission Mangal box office collection
Akshay Kumar's retelling of India's moon mission isn't budging and continues to make money at the Indian box office even three weeks after initial release. Mission Mangal has already made more than Rs 193 crores at the box office and is looking positive to hit the Rs 200 crores mark soon enough.
