Manoj Bajpayee's latest Bollywood movie Bhonsle is all set to release on Sony LIV streaming platform after more than 2 years of delay. This Hindi drama film has been written and directed by Devashish Makhija, and stars Manoj Bajpayee is also co-producing the project. The trailer suggests the story will be about a retired Mumbai cop who stand up for what's right, against discrimination and crime in the city. He is seen taking on local politicians to bring a change for the good.
The trailer also reveals Manoj Bajpayee's Bhonsle will be a social commentary on the racial and community discrimination in Mumbai and Maharashtra. It will see a righteous man taking on the cruel elements of society, commentating on these aspects of society.
Drama is clearly the theme of the movie which shows Manoj Bajpayee taking extreme steps to fight back against the evil forces. He is also shown to be struggling with Stage 4 cancer, which is sure to ignite the emotional side of the audience.
Director Devashish Makhija claims he deliberately shot several scenes of the movie in cramped and narrow spaces to create a sense of suffocation. A scene where Bajpayee is seen in Ganpati Visarjan in the middle of a 70,000-strong crowd has also been added to create a sense of claustrophobia making it even more thrilling.
