5. Lawrence of Arabia

9. Star Wars

Star Wars: Episode IV is what Nolan loves. It shows Luke Skywalker as he joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee, and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire's world-destroying battle station.

10. The Tree of Life

2011's The Tree of Life is an impressionistic story of a Texas family in the 1950s. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father.
