Breathe: Into The Shadows is now streaming on Prime Video, and we hope you have watched it. If you have, you must be wondering what the ending of the show signifies. Read on to find out Breathe: Into The Shadows ending explained. Also, our two cents on the next season on Prime Video.
Breathe: Into The Shadows Ending Explained
Breathe: Into The Shadows is a psychological thriller and thus has a suspenseful plot. Before we explain the ending, let's just quickly recap what happened in the last episode of the Web series.
So, the last episode shows how the police and Abha realise that Avinash is indeed J, the kidnapper, suffering from a multiple personality disorder. We see Abha discovering the hideout and trying to save her daughter from J's hands.
The cat-and-mouse chase began between the police and J, during which Kabir Sawant manages to convince Avinash to come out of J's avatar and realise his wrongdoings.
Avinash is then shown to have been admitted into a mental institution where he has been undergoing treatment for more than a year. He claims J's avatar hasn't come out in several months.
However, we see him meeting Shirley in the garden and giving her a chit. We also see Avinash getting up on stage with a limp, which means J is in fact present in him but now has a much more dormant and controlled role.
In fact, J has managed even to fool the best mental health professionals.
If that is indeed the case, this could spell much more danger for his family once he returns. J has learnt from his mistakes and is now controlling Avinash completely. J has become smarter than before and might be harmful when Avinash is discharged.
Breathe: Into The Shadows New Season: What are the chances?
Considering the creators left us on a cliffhanger with J still being present alongside Avinash's personality, the chances of a follow-up season are huge.
That said, the concept of a follow-up season does not sit well with Prime Video's Breathe franchise. The first season was a standalone one, much like this one. So don't get your hopes too high.
However, Prime Video might just be flexible to bring another season if there is massive interest in the Abhishek Bachchan version of the show. Not to take away the popularity enjoyed by the first season that starred R Madhavan.
There has been no confirmation on the second season by Prime Video yet, and there might not be one for a long time. Prime Video is focusing on newer original Web series and has Bandish Bandits slated for release on August 04, 2020.
