Brahmastra release date in India is sometime in 2020. Ever since the fantasy drama went into production, the release has been a topic of speculation. Previously scheduled to release on Christmas 2019, Brahmastra has been delayed indefinitely but could come out in the first half of 2020.

Brahmastra will be released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX formats. A trilogy was announced back in October 2017, followed by preparation in January 2018, initiation of principal photography in Bulgaria in February 2018, and final shooting schedule in Rajasthan in July 2019. The movie could be out sometime in Summer 2020.
Bhramastra cast includes some really big names from Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan is playing the marquee role of Brahma, Ranbir Kapoor has been cast as Shiva, while Alia Bhatt is portraying the role of Isha.

First things first, Brahmastra is originally meant to be a trilogy, of which the first part will release in 2020. It will be a modern-day story set in today's India.
Brahmastra "is actually a supernatural romantic fairy tale at heart. Ayan (Mukherji) will never make a character that doesn’t have truth to it, or which is unbelievable. It’s too early to talk about the film, but it is something I am terribly excited about,” Ranbir Kapoor had said about Brahmastra previously.
Brahmastra is one of the biggest projects for Dharma Productions, managed by Karan Johar and mother Hiroo Yash Johar. Ranbir Kapoor, Ayan Mukerji, Fox Star Studios, Apoorva Mehta, and Namit Malhotra are also listed as producers of the film.
Other than that, Brahmastra music is by Simon Franglen, cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee, Patrick Duroux, and others, and VFX by DNEG.
