Gulabo Sitabo is one of the most interesting Bollywood movies of 2020. Gulabo Sitabo release date in India is April 17, 2020, which is in about 3 months from now. The original release date was set at April 24, 2020, but was recently pulled back by a week.

The timeline of the movie's development begins in May 2019 when director Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi announced that they had started working on the Gulabo Sitabo script. Filming began in June 2019 in Lucknow, and was wrapped up by the end of July 2019.

While the team hasn't yet revealed Gulabo Sitabo full cast details, the lead actors portraying the main characters are out. Ayushmann Khurrana comes back after his last hit Bala, playing the role of Sunil Kumar Shukla 'Danish' aka Sitabo in his next. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is also in the lead role playing Prakash Nath Dwivedi 'Munish' aka Gulabo.

Nalneesh Neel will be seen playin the role of Digvijay Dutta, while Tina Bhatia has been roped in to play Dulhin. Mayank Kumar is expected to portray the role of Ameen. However, what relation these characters have with each other is not known yet.

These two puppets were presented at stage shows as warring sister-in-laws. Becoming an integral part of rural folklore in India at the time, Gulabo-Sitabo were used as tools to ward off social evils.
