Avatar is one of the most iconic movies of all time. Although it is most popular for holding the title of the highest grossing film ever for almost 10 years, Avatar is also known for breaking boundaries of visual effects and science fiction depiction on the big screen in its time. The James Cameron directorial released back in December 2009 was a major hit but not all of you could manage to catch a glimpse of the movie on the large screen, as intended. However, there seems to be one last chance to do just that. Read on to find out how.
Avatar is back in 3D across select Cinepolis movie halls in India. Cinepolis, one of the India's largest movie hall chain has tied up with the producers of Avatar to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of Avatar's initial release. To commemorate that occasion, Cinepolis cinemas will re-release Avatar in 3D. From what we could spot on the website, the screenings will take place in New Delhi and NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune. You can check other cities by going to this link.
In Delhi-NCR, Avatar (3D) will be screened at Cinepolis: DLF Place, Saket, Cinepolis: Unity One Mall Rohini, Delhi, and Spice Cinemas: Noida. In Mumbai, the screening will be held at Cinepolis: Magnet Mall, Bhandup (W). In Bengaluru, it will be at Cinepolis: Forum Shantiniketan and Cinepolis: Royal Meenakshi Mall, and in Pune, at Cinepolis: Seasons Mall and Cinepolis: WESTEND Mall Aundh.
You can catch the screening on select days at only one time slot: 12.30pm (except Pune). So while the weekend shows might be convenient, most of the weekday shows are currently running empty.
However, in case you are a big fan of Avatar, or haven't had the chance to watch it even once, this screening should come as a blessing to you. It deserves even an office bunk for old times sake!
