Superhero movies have been all the rage in the past decade, and this decade seems to be no exception as evident from the lineup. With the Infinity Saga over in the MCU, and Phase 4 kicking off in 2020, a window of opportunity has opened up for DCEU, Sony's Marvel universe, and others to get their place in superhero movie genre, frequented by millions of fans across the world. From Black Widow to Morbius and Birds of Prey, here are all the confirmed superhero movies releasing in 2020.

1. Birds Of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn)

The first superhero movie releasing this year is Birds Of Prey, the eighth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and a follow-up spin-off to the 2016 film Suicide Squad. Margot Robbie will reprise her role of Harley Quinn.

2. Bloodshot

March 13, 2020

The only non-Marvel and non-DC superhero confirmed for 2020 is Bloodshot. This Valiant Comics film stars Vin Diesel in the titular role. The story revolves around him being rescued using nanotechnology, which makes him a super soldier.

3. The New Mutants

April 03, 2020

Based on the Marvel Comics ensemble of the same name, The New Mutants was initially supposed to be part of the X-Men franchise. Maisie Williams stars in the lead role as Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane.

4. Black Widow

April 30, 2020

The first MCU movie this year and in MCU Phase 4 is Black Widow, the story of the Russian spy who disappeared after the events of Captain America: Civil War only to be return in Avengers: Infinity War.

5. Wonder Woman 1984

June 5, 2020

The second DCEU film this year is Wonder Woman 1984, sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot is back as the DC female superhero as the story fast forwards to 1984.

6. Morbius

July 31, 2020

The second movie in Sony's Marvel Universe later this year. After Venom, Sony is looking to introduce Morbius as yet another Spider-Man villain in its universe. Jared Leto will be playing the lead role of Michael Morbius.

7. Venom 2

October 2, 2020

2020 will also be bringing the sequel to Venom, and is intended to be the third installment of Sony's Marvel Universe. Directed by Andy Serkis, Venom 2 brings back Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock aka Venom.

8. The Eternals

November 6, 2020

The second MCU film this year is The Eternals. This unique story spans over 7000 years. The Eternals are an immortal alien race created by the Celestials who protect humanity from their evil counterparts the Deviants. Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and Kumail Nanjiani star.
