Ever since Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe took pace at the turn of the decade, DC universe has always been a step behind. However, the last few years have been good for Warner Bros with movies like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Shazam! turning out to be blockbusters. Joker, the latest from DC's bandwagon, isn't part of the DCEU but is a great DC story nonetheless. In case you are wondering, here are 7 DC movies that are confirmed to release after Joker. The list starts with Birds of Prey early next year.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) - February 07, 2020

The next movie to release as part of the DCEU, after Shazam!, is Birds of Prey. Out in February 2020, Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Jurnee Smollett-Bell in lead roles. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is expected to be as fascinating as its title as we see DC's first women ensemble superhero cast.

Wonder Woman 1984 - June 05, 2020

Although the second installment in the popular Wonder Woman franchise, Wonder Woman 1984 is not a sequel to the original. It fast forwards in time and takes you from World War 2 to 1984, with different events and obstacles. Chris Pine is set to return as Steve Trevor; it would be interesting to see how.

The Batman - June 25, 2021

Yet another anticipated movie in the DCEU is The Batman. It introduces actor Robert Pattinson as the Gotham superhero, while Dawn of the Planet of the Apes filmmaker Matt Reeves is set to take the helm. Much like Joker, this movie will have a neo-noir tone and will show a younger Batman. Rumour has it the movie will have some sort of connection to Joker.

The Suicide Squad - August 06, 2021

Yet another non-sequel coming to the DCEU, The Suicide Squad, isn't linked to the previous movie. This movie brings back some of the actors from the original one - including Margot Robbie and introduces some newer ones like Idris Elba, Viola Davis, John Cena, among others.

Aquaman 2 - December 16, 2022

A sequel to last year's Aquaman, Aquaman 2 is all set to release worldwide in late 2022. Jason Momoa and Amber Heard will reprise their roles in the sequel which is set to release on a far-away date. However, director James Wan hasn't yet committed to the movie.

The Flash - TBA

Andy Muschietti, the mind behind It and It: Chapter 2, has been confirmed as the director of upcoming superhero origin movie, The Flash. Considering origin films like Wonder Woman and Aquaman having been doing so well for Warner Bros' DCEU, The Flash might be a win-win situation for them.

Untitled Black Adam Movie - TBA

Another one of the interesting origin stories in DCEU's upcoming slate is an untitled movie on Black Adam. While the details are scarce, we know that Dwayne Johnson has been cast in the lead role and Jauma Collet-Serra is helming the project.
